Becoming a Member
Anyone with an interest in libraries may join the Friends of the Plymouth Library. You can download the membership form or pick up a membership form at the Plymouth Library anytime to help support your community library!
Annual memberships dues are:
$10/year for an individual membership
$15/year for a family membership
$30/year for a sponsor membership
Memberships are good for one year from your sign-up date.
Membership dues help offset our operating costs of running a small independent non-profit organization, while allowing us to maximize how much of our book sale proceeds get donated to the Library!

Who We Are
The Friends of the Plymouth Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to our community library, allowing more programming for children, teens, adults, and retirees. Local Friends groups partner with the Friends of the Hennepin County Library, sharing the common mission of supporting the Plymouth Library and the Hennepin County Library.
Friends of the Plymouth Library help the library by:
Raising funds through book sales (Get a sense for how we run our book sales in our book sale volunteer how-to guide)
Supporting programming for children, teens, and adults
Advocating for the library throughout the community
Attending board meetings
What We Support
In 2023, the Friends of the Plymouth Library provided $20,000 in grants to the Friends of the Hennepin County Library for the collection, youth programming, outreach programs, and more.
